I think the issue might be the cell phone updater I used. After that I tried to uninstall it but it froze my compter. So I tried to boot in safe mode with the command prompt. But now it’s stuck on a black screen. Then everything goes black and the fan runs. Help I need it to study for an exam!

The two choices I got were: 1-start windows recovery 2-start windows normally If I don’t hit F8, the first choice is: “to boot from CD, hit any key” If I don’t hit any key, windows recovery starts.
If I hit a key, it loads software from the windows recovery CD, and windows recovery starts. If I choose option ‘2’ from above, to allow windows to start normally, it gets to the win7 logo screen, before the first pulsate, and freezes forever.
There is no menu offering safe mode. Everything was fine until the computer went to ‘sleep mode’ — I subsequently found out the raid card and its software don’t like sleep mode.
